EMN Lithuania published a new study on international students from third countries in Lithuania
The COVID-19 pandemic had significant impact worldwide. Due to it, states have taken various preventive measures to stop the spread of the virus. Lithuania is not an exception, as the country imposed a quarantine regime during which state borders were closed. Inevitably, these changes posed challenges for international students wishing to study in Lithuania.
For this reason, the new study of the European Migration Network in Lithuania (EMN Lithuania) seeks to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on international students from third countries in Lithuania. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with experts from universities and colleges, as well as the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, and the Education Exchanges Support Foundation.
All findings of the study are based on systemized summaries of the experts' responses. Selected illustrative expert responses are provided anonymously.
